A businessman from Selangor won the RM30,573,570.75 Toto 4D Jackpot 1 on 25 October 2015 (Draw No. 4316/15) after buying the same set of numbers for 5 years without fail. The 55-year-old winner who ran a family-owned business, said he had been buying the same sets of numbers which included his identity card numbers, his son’s birthday and car registration numbers, for 5 years and that he would spend RM182 in every draw on his System 14 ticket. His winning pair of numbers – “1809 & 5553” won him a whopping RM30,573,570.75 and his System 14 ticket, which allowed him to buy 14 sets of numbers on a ticket, also won him an additional RM4,032. “Although it is not a cheap investment for spending RM182 in every draw for 5 years, the payoff is great,” he told Sports Toto when collecting his winnings a day after the draw.
